Wireless audio player

While SONOS is getting closer to what I’m looking for, they are not there yet.

The device I would like is one that is basically a set of speakers with fast wireless communication and some control software.

The device should be able to connect to storage devices on a home network and should be controlled by Win-mobile, Droid devices, iPhone, PC, Mac and so on. It should have some basic control pad.

The device should not have dedicated connection to some specific device of the month, MP3 player or iPod.

It should not need to have some internet connection, to some specific internet music or content provider. It can get all that from a computer on the network.

In essence, it should just be a good, simple and intelligent audio delivery system.

A serious problem that can cause frustration with PC users is that when buying a new computer, PC s come loaded with preinstall junk. six months antivirus, DJ software, games, photo editing and many other things that pop up and ask you things.

Computer manufacturers should be forced to provide a version of PCs that have just windows and the minimal software that the computer needs to work well. All the rest should be provided on a DVD for self-install by the customer or buy software that can help and find the available productivity software online, for download install.
